Anderson’s Mini Maples

Steve Anderson was a pharmacist, U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, and dedicated maple producer whose passion for maple sugaring spanned more than 50 years. Through Anderson’s Mini Maples, he shared the fruits of his labor with communities across New Hampshire, including the Candia Farmers Market.
Using traditional methods, Steve tapped his own trees, gathered sap by hand, and spent countless hours tending a wood-fired evaporator to produce the maple syrup, maple sugar, candies, and maple-coated pecans so many of us came to love.
If you visited Steve’s booth at the Candia Farmers Market, chances are you left knowing a little more about maple sugaring. He genuinely enjoyed talking with customers, sharing stories, and teaching others about the process of turning maple sap into syrup. He often left people smiling with his quick wit and memorable stories.
Steve was more than a valued vendor—he was a friend and an important part of our market family. He was always willing to share ideas to help make the market better, and over the years he offered countless suggestions, encouragement, and wisdom. We are grateful for the time he invested in helping our market grow.
