Story behind Rockingham Brewing Company

Rob & Ali Leleszi first connected over a rousing game of beer pong in New York City in 2007. Early on, it was clear that they would go on to do great things together, but it took six years to figure out what those things were. During that time, Rob cultivated his passion & skill for homebrewing and received an Associates Degree in Brewing Science from the Siebel Institute. He then started an invaluable internship at Port Jeff Brewing Company in Long Island. It was a long commute from Brooklyn, and even longer work hours, but Rob’s love for brewing only grew. At the same time, Ali, who had always dreamed of owning her own business, had become a self-professed beer snob and was reading up on the business side of brewing.

It was then they decided to open up their own brewery and started scouting the perfect locale for their 10 barrel brew system. They stopped when they found the blossoming town of Derry, NH, in Ali’s home state. Rockingham Brewing opened its doors in February of 2015. About one month after opening, Rob and Ali hired their first full time employee, Remy, a Great Pyrenees mix rescue. Since then, the team has grown into 10 hard-working & fun-loving individuals, who focus on brewing & sharing a well-rounded portfolio of beers, to ensure there is always an option for everyone to enjoy. They are all thrilled to be part of the growing local beer community in Rockingham County, NH.

This will be their fourth year offering free tastings and sales of their great beers at the Candia Farmers Market.

Sayde & Georges is an Arab American, Small, Woman-Owned Business founded in New Hampshire. Our mission is to share the love of being between two cultures and our love of mezza by sharing traditional Lebanese favorites. Eventually, we hope to play creatively with Arabic and American Cuisine.

Who are Sayde & Georges?

Sayde & Georges is named after my beloved grandparents, Sayde and Georges Bourouphael. While I never met my Jiddo (Grandfather) Georges, my Sitto (Grandmother), Bayyah (Father) Amous (Uncles) and Amtos (Aunts) kept his memory alive through stories.

Sitto on the other hand, I was very fortunate to get to know. Sayde was a force to be reckoned with, who lived through the loss of her husband and son during the Civil War and kept a family together even when they were oceans apart. Sitto lived both in the U.S. and Lebanon, but Lebanon was where she felt the most at home. She always made us feel that way as well when we came to stay with her.

This business is named in dedication to the sacrifices my family and so many other families made as a family living in the diaspora. Though we are continents apart, we keep each other and our traditions close to our hearts.

About Us

Welcome to Sunfox Farm, where we strive to bring beauty and flavor to Central New Hampshire through sustainable and environmentally responsible agricultural practices. As our name suggests, we specialize in growing sunflowers for oilseed production, but our commitment to the land and the community goes far beyond that. We believe that by taking care of the earth, we can produce delicious and nutritious food that nourishes both the body and the soul. That’s why we use organic farming methods to cultivate our crops, and why we are always looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint and promote biodiversity on our farm.

Our Products

We believe that farming is about more than just growing food. It’s about building community, celebrating the seasons, and connecting with nature. That’s why we host an annual Sunflower Bloom Festival taking place August, where visitors can come and see our fields in all their golden glory, enjoy live music, sample local food and drinks, and cut your own sunflowers! So whether you’re looking for high-quality sunflower oil, a fun and educational day trip, or just want to support a local business that cares about the environment, we invite you to explore our website and learn more about Sunfox Farm. Thank you for visiting!

Swallow Ridge Farm Cheese Company is located in New Boston, New Hampshire. The artisan cheese crafted here at Swallow Ridge Farm is produced from raw milk collected from local area family farms. Milk is tested for antibiotics at each collection and again at our factory. The factory is inspected regularly by the New Hampshire Department of Health. Peter studied cheesemaking at the University of Wisconsin and founded the State of Maine Cheese Company in Maine, where he produced cheese for 16 years. His latest adventure in cheesemaking began when he founded Swallow Ridge Farm Cheese Company, built a small artisan cheese facility here on the farm, and has been making cheese since 2020.
At Swallow Ridge Farm Cheese Company, we produce small batches of artisanal cheese using quality raw whole milk from small family farms in New Hampshire. The only ingredients are local, fresh, raw cow’s milk, salt, cheese cultures, herbs, spices, and enzymes from around the world. No animal rennet is used. All of our cheeses are aged a minimum of 60 days. The aging enhances the flavor and texture of our cheese. No artificial flavors, animal growth hormones, or antibiotics will be found in our cheeses.

We use old-world methods to produce our cheese in Copper and Stainless Steel vats. We make all of our cheese in 10-pound wheels using special cheese forms from Holland. Our modern cheese factory is inspected and licensed by the State of New Hampshire.

We currently produce about 14 different kinds of cheese, some in small batches and others in larger batches. We do not have all the cheeses all the time, as some will be aging and not ready for sale. We hope you will try our available cheeses and are sure you will enjoy your selection.

Thank you—Peter B. Kress, cheese maker.

Check out my latest reel, which explains how we make our cheese here.
